What is happening in lessons remotely will, therefore, mirror the provision the pupils would be accessing in school. The ability to work outside the logistical considerations of being on-site enable us to streamline and adapt the timetable to the pupils’ advantage. Regular pastoral connections will continue and staff continue to be available from 8am to 6pm.
In the Pre Prep, live lessons will now take place daily for phonics, maths and literacy and there will be pre-recorded instruction and a range of other activities which can be completed outside of these times. Similarly, in Pre-School, there will be two live lessons per day along with follow up activities and weekly group pastoral meets and story times. As in the Prep School, this live provision allows us to maintain pastoral connections with the children and enables them to interact with their teachers and each other on a daily basis.
Moving to the CAPP timetable allows pupils, their families and staff to have a clearer structure to the school day and allows lunchtime to be at the same time for all phases of the school, thus helping those at home to work effectively by synchronising meal times.
We are confident that our academic provision continues to be of the highest quality, maintaining academic rigour and challenge alongside opportunities for personal development and staying connected as a school community.
With very best wishes,
