We gleaned so much about how our youngest pupils learn on virtual platforms from the previous extended closure and we were certain that changes could be made to up-level the provision. Largely this has evolved as providing up to three live learning sessions each day in addition to the daily schedule of online resources. We also know that many parents at home are managing the learning day alongside work and perhaps siblings too; whether they are younger or older, the demands are nonetheless challenging. Therefore, as your input is required more substantially with younger children, we feel it continues to be important that some element of flexibility must be woven into the Pre Prep school day.
As a parent myself, I know that you are all trying your very best to support your children and, sometimes, learning may have to be put aside in favour of a family walk or because of your own work commitments. If that's the case, then I urge you not to worry! Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need any advice or support on a personal level and I am always interested to hear constructive feedback as we navigate through this difficult time. Finally, may I send my best wishes that you stay safe and well and remain optimistic about the earliest possible return to school.
Kind regards
Gill Emmerson
