Whilst we are conscious that we do not want children sitting in front of screens all day, I am sure that you will agree that this is the best platform to continue to deliver the curriculum. Lessons will continue to be delivered via Google platforms (Google Meet and Google Classroom). There is no need to print anything as, through trial and error, staff have ensured that every piece of work is accessible either by completing it online or by copying something simple onto a piece of paper which is often modelled for children. Your child’s tutor and I will be available to respond to any queries or concerns you may have, at any point. We look forward to working together to ensure that this period of uncertainty is as positive, purposeful and memorable as we possibly can make it, and that your child continues to flourish in our virtual environment.
When I began this journey I looked to a man who endured great hardships but showed amazing resilience and integrity to turn a negative into a positive and come out a better person in the end; Mr Nelson Mandela: “A good head and good heart are always a formidable combination. But when you add to that a literate tongue or pen, then you have something very special.” I remain optimistic and continue to appreciate how we all need to work together for the sake of the children.
And finally, remember to be kind. There will inevitably be times when technology challenges us. We all, pupils, staff and parents need to be patient as we continue to learn and improve together on this journey.
Kind regards,
