I appreciate that for many of you, aspects of this guidance will be very familiar. However, I hope that the updated content we are providing nevertheless serves as a useful reminder of the structures and procedures we have in place to ensure that your child can access an optimum level of academic challenge, support and excellent pastoral care.
It is our aim that your child’s experience of learning is not restricted to merely the timetabled curriculum. We are looking forward to launching a number of extra-curricular challenges and activities, all of which offer additional opportunities for creative thinking as well as physical and mental engagement. However small, please do share your children’s successes with me so we can promote and celebrate the different ways our families throughout Year 7 and 8 are getting involved in ‘virtual’ Upper School life.
Your child’s tutor and I will always be available to respond to any queries or concerns you may have. We look forward to working together to ensure that the next phase of life in the Upper School is as productive, purposeful and memorable as we possibly can make it, and that your child continues to feel successful, happy and connected to their teachers and peers.
Kind regards,
Anna Warren
Head of Upper School
