The timetable will provide structure to your child's day and needs to be adhered to as much as possible. This will maximise the support that your child receives from their subject teachers.
For pupils in Years 3 to 8, it is our expectation that, being as familiar as they are with Google Classroom and Google Meet, the pupils will be able to independently access all the tasks that have been set for them and ask for help from an adult if they are unable to do this. We recognise that younger pupils may need support accessing their classrooms but once on their live lesson, they should be able to work with increased independence, asking their teacher for support when needed.
Reading is vital for pupils' development across the curriculum. There is a reading slot on the timetable for all classes in the Prep department. We would ask that the pupils record their daily reading, just as they would in a normal week. Planners will be checked each week by tutors during one of the live form times.
The Edge Grove planner remains an important resource for you and your child, as well as a screen-free space to record learning, locate information and make notes.
