Music, Drama, Art, DT
In Drama this week, the drama elective's last week wrote monologues to introduce themselves as certain guests and to say why they were at the party. They then filmed their monologues and presented their characters to us. They were fantastic.
Year 6 have been looking at old American style radio adverts. They have recorded some of the original adverts using different voices and accents.
And in year 5, we have been looking at comic walks this week and thinking about how clowns would walk in certain environments. It's been very entertaining!

In Art, Lower School pupils have been recreating artworks using objects and family. There have been some super ones and here are a few!
In Music, Kaiyan in Pre-School has been learning a song all about how plants grow. Kaiyan went one step further and even grew some of his own beans...the beans sprouted a shoot that then turned to stem and roots and now it has leaves! Just like the song! Well done Kaiyan!
Jimi in year 7 had a two week composition project based on the cool jazz era. This is an extremely advanced composition, with a head (main tune), improvisation and finale. An exquisite piece of work. Well done!
Year 3 learned all about how a Trumpet makes a sound this week and even made their own at home! Ethan was kind enough to show the year how to play a Trumpet. A fabulous performance well done Ethan!
Caitlin and Rohan in year 5 did a fantastic performance of the West African song the Ku Ku whilst in school this week. They were learning all about call and response and how to play the Djembe's using different techniques. A brilliant performance from the both of them. Well done.
