Both Year 3 and 4 have taken part in their first inter-house Games this term. They have enjoyed wearing their house t-shirts and have worked hard showing good team spirit. Whilst the boys amazed us with their football skills, the girls showed great defending and attacking skills in hockey. The next inter-house event will consist of mixed boys and girls teams.
Miss McDonald shared her favourite story book with Year 4 in assembly. Slow Loris was a hit with the children and teachers alike! Ask your children about Slow Loris’s secret.
Amelie shared some information about Sir David Attenborough. The children have made a promise to try their hardest to stop wasting wherever they can; food, water, electricity, paper. Can you think of any others? Please let me or the form tutors know if they are keeping their promises at home.
Have you seen the giant snail by the adventure playground? This snail is in fact an art installation: L'Escargot Fantasie was displayed in front of the Brighton Library in central Brighton before taking residence at Edge Grove. This piece was won at an auction by the Rosen family who kindly allowed us to display the artwork at school.
A big well done to all the Lower School children who have settled in really well and embracing the new routines in school. I am particularly impressed with the maturity Year 4 has shown in taking responsibility for their Chromebooks.
