From birth, children are learning new skills and along with those new abilities they also acquire the confidence to use them. As children get older, confidence can be as important as the skills themselves.
It is natural for children to have more confidence in things they have tried before, or things that come naturally to them. When a child has confidence and self-belief they are more likely to try things without letting fear get in the way. Self-confidence is, without doubt, a key contributor to wellbeing, it enables children to thrive, to trust in their own abilities and know they can cope if they are not successful. A mix of nature and nurture, confidence can be developed and this workshop is an opportunity to explore how to help strengthen your child's levels of confidence and learn practical tips and techniques to help build confidence and feelings of self-worth. I hope you will be able to join me to discuss this important topic. If you would like to reserve your place please email me on ssharp@edgegrove.com by 5.00pm on Tuesday 15th June. Sessions will take place via Google Meet, and the joining code will be forwarded with your booking confirmation. With very best wishes. Sally Sharp Head of Wellbeing
