Get to know the people behind Edge Grove
What is your name?
Abi Treadwell-Collins.
What is your role at Edge Grove?
Year 4 Teacher.
How long have you been at Edge Grove?
4 years.
What did you do before joining Edge Grove?
I worked in a primary school in central London. Before that I was a fashion journalist.
What do you love most about your job?
Getting to know the children. We have so much fun during form times sharing facts and stories. They always know how to make me laugh!
What do you love most about Edge Grove?
The beautiful grounds and the wonderful people. I used to come here to watch my two brothers playing cricket (they were both pupils here between 1985 and 1994) so it feels lovely to be back here.
Who is your favourite colleague and why?
This is a tough question. Definitely not Mr Maranzana with his cheesy jokes! It has to be Miss Noorali. We started at Edge Grove at the same time and she is my favourite travel companion. We have even been swimming with pigs in the Bahamas together!
If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
I'm torn between Ireland and Florida. Very different choices but I have family ties in West Cork and I love Florida for the sunshine and food.
What is your biggest fear? Slugs. I refused to eat mushrooms growing up as they had too many similarities!
What did you want to be when you were little?
A marine biologist. I was absolutely obsessed with sharks.
