It has been wonderful to see the children return to school full of joy and enthusiasm at being with their friends, keen to share holiday experiences with staff and keen to engage with their learning - the energy around Edge Grove is truly palpable.
It has been a pleasure talking to your sons and daughters, hearing of their holiday experiences and heart-warming to hear of special time spent with friends and family by many. It is with this in mind that I would like to share with you a concept that came to my attention recently, a creative way to keep a focus on togetherness throughout the year. Particularly valuable, I felt, as we often quickly slot back into familiar habits and routines as the new year progresses and some of the Christmas induced focus on family, friends and resolutions can become more distant or difficult to sustain. The simple idea, making a family plan is, I believe, a fun and effective way of keeping a focus on togetherness very much alive, an exercise that everyone can contribute to that creates a focus on togetherness and affirms family values.
Take a look at the illustration, which gives an idea of how to go about making your plan. More information can be found at ‘Big Life Journal’: https://biglifejournal.com
