Yesterday marked the anniversary of the untimely passing of our former Head Girl, Sophia Zaveri. Yesterday evening, during an intimate ceremony in the Remembrance Garden of the school Chapel we planted a blossom tree alongside the memorial plaque laid by the Year 8 children last year. The annual bloom as we enter Spring each year will serve as a fitting tribute to Sophia for years to come.
There are a couple of housekeeping matters to bring to your attention if I may. Please can I ask for your support with morning arrivals by dropping the children off in the morning no earlier than 8.15am, unless you have a confirmed arrangement with the Head of School to drop earlier. Please can I also remind you that pick up in the evening after activities or late stay is at 5.30pm prompt.
We are currently reviewing the schedule of after school activities for next term, the timetable for which will be released next week. After Easter, Pre Prep pick up will revert to 3.30pm, Lower School pick up will revert to 4pm, Middle School will remain at 4.15pm and Upper School at 4.30pm.
This week sees the finals of the Edge Grove Musician of the Year competition and we look forward to welcoming the Director of Music from Downe House (virtually) to judge this year’s competition.
This Friday is Red Nose Day and we will power into the day dressing as superheroes. The Upper School will also be taking on a powerhouse challenge, namely a juggle-fest during morning break time. I knew there was method in my Head’s Challenge juggling madness!
I hope you have a wonderful week.
