Empathy is at the heart of good relationships of any kind. Thankfully this central component of emotional intelligence can be taught and children are never too young to start to learn this valuable life skill. Helping children to develop a strong sense of empathy benefits their relationships, encourages tolerance and acceptance and aids their ability to understand their emotions and those of others.
