I very much enjoyed filming Wednesday’s assembly from one of the school polytunnels. As I walked through our orchard on my way there I felt very lucky to have so much space to walk in every day. Inside, the tunnel was full of young plants such as tomatoes, peas and chard and it was deliciously fragrant and warm with just a buzzing insect or two for company. I would like to thank those boys and girls who responded to my question about tomato plants; the part we eat is indeed the fruit. Communicating with our friends and loved ones has changed so much over the last few weeks and we have found new ways to stay in touch and show that we care. The class Google Meets have been enjoyed by us all and I have been delighted to pop in to a few to say hello. I have very much enjoyed seeing all of the lovely ways that Pre Prep children have shown that they care by following our Flourish Family Focus themes. Sophia Mayram and Imran celebrated Friendship Friday in their garden, cuddled under blankets wearing some very cool sunglasses and reminding us all to be thankful for our friends. We all know how much Eva in year 2 enjoys all things Harry Potter related and it was super to see a picture of her collaborating with her little sister to successfully complete a giant, very detailed jigsaw puzzle of the young wizard. Your varied talents, acts of kindness and enthusiasm for learning are keeping us all smiling!
