Praise is a simple but effective way of supporting good behaviours and motivation to achieve. It can boost good feelings and inspire children to be more cooperative, persistent, and hard working. On the flip side some children feel embarrassed by it, be uncomfortable with the attention or regard it to be undeserved or insincere. For praise to have value it is important that children perceive it to be sincere and honest.
