Problem solving and decision making are important life skills. Teaching children practical problem solving skills helps them to solve problems themselves and has the added benefit of helping to build resilience, boost confidence and support independence. Problems come in all shapes and sizes and strengthening and nurturing skills that help children cope with challenges is hugely beneficial to mental health and wellbeing. Being able to get to overcome or solve problems helps keep relationships intact and eliminate conflicts as they arise, as well as building character, aiding resilience and perseverance. This workshop is an opportunity to explore five key steps for effective problems solving and practical tips to help you teach your children.
