Occasional worry is okay, but when worrying becomes a habit it can have serious health effects. Helping children learn to turn their worries into “I wonder…” boosts resilience and supports their overall wellbeing.
What is worrying all about? Everyone has their own inner alarm system that goes off when they feel danger. Worrying tends to trigger the flight, flight, freeze response. Whilst worrying is normal, it is not always helpful, and thankfully there are some simple steps you can take to help your child turn their worry into wonder. Join me for this workshop to explore how to help promote positive thoughts, feelings and actions and empower your child to take a solution focussed approach to overcome worries and fears. This will be an interactive session, an opportunity for you to share your thoughts and lived experiences with a view to gaining tips and techniques to take away and try at home - I hope you will be able to join me to explore:
If you would like to reserve your place please email me on ssharp@edgegrove.com by 5.00pm on Tuesday 25th January. Sessions will take place via Google Meet, and the joining code will be forwarded with your booking confirmation. With very best wishes. Sally Sharp Head of Wellbeing
