The boys started this game well with Daniel Ma and Daniel Me bowling well and keeping the batsmen under pressure. We then started to bowl far too many wides and no balls allowing Lockers Park to start to relax into the game. Kavish then came on and changed the course of the match taking 5 wickets for 8 runs in his 5 overs. With Dan Ma, Sam and Kieran also picking up a wicket each we were confident that we had restricted Lockers to a chasable total. This proved to be true with Toye getting us off to a great start scoring a run a ball 23. Sam and Kavish were then able to see us to a comfortable victory with half the overs to spare. Sam scored an excellent 35 not out and Kavish 28 not out.
This was a good all-round team effort with Charlie scoring 18 runs, Javan 12 runs and Dev 11 runs. Dev and Charlie were also the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets each. Well done on a great match.
The match on Wednesday started in glorious sunshine but the clouds soon arrived and meant that this game was called off with 6 overs left. Edge Grove lost the toss and were asked to bat, and that they did! Under instructions that a run a ball was required, after the first 10 overs Edge Grove were looking very comfortable on 70 for no loss. Hugh P and Archer K formed a free scoring partnership that was broken in the 14th over after a century opening stand. The instruction for the final 6 overs was to score, and score fast. Archer was joined at the crease by Connor M and Noah L who combined to push the score to 150 runs, Archer finishing with his debut 70 n.o. After a quick break for hail, Lockers park were 9-2 after the first 2 overs and wickets fell at regular intervals. Albert M being the pick of the bowlers with outstanding figures of (2-2-0-3) at the start of the second downpour and hint of thunder the match was called off and a win for EG was decided by run rate and the D/L system. A brilliant match played with excellent spirit and fantastic cricketing skills.
We lost the toss and were asked to bat. Henry, once again was on form and hit 18 in his allotted overs. Freddie top scored with 31 and extras accounted for much of the rest. We scored 144 for 6, so the overall target was 117 for our opponents to win. Once again, our bowlers were on top form, taking 10 wickets as Locker’s reached 67 by the close of play. Well done to one and all.
On Wednesday 19th June, the Year 8 girls went to play Kingshott in a cricket match. Kingshott gave us a very good challenge and made us put our training into action. We always stayed determined and focused on the game. There were amazing hits, catches and fielding done by the girls.
We stuck together as a group and we always supported one another and whenever we knew there was something that needed to be improved on we got together and discussed a new strategy. In the end, the scores were 315 runs to 193 and Zoe-Grace Lawson got girl of the game. We are very proud of our performance in the match.

After winning the toss and deciding to field first the girls kept the opposition's runs to a minimum with tight fielding and excellent bowling. With strong batting from Caitlyn and Amber scoring 23 runs between them, and confident running from the whole team, we were able to secure a convincing win in our second game of the term. Well done to everyone who played.
The U11B played a fantastic match against Kingshott B team. Each player played incredibly well with some lovely bowling and some strong batting. Well done to Sophia S and Tiggy for taking two wickets. A close match but a great foundation to build upon.
