It’s always an emotional time of year as we think about saying farewell to our Year 6 and 8 leavers, many of whom have been at Edge Grove since Pre-School and Reception. We do appreciate the significance of the end of the Year 6 journey and are now pleased to be able to invite parents of Year 6 leavers to the prize giving event on Friday 9th July. Unfortunately, to remain within capacity guidelines, we can only invite parents of the children who are leaving this year but look forward to a return to normal proceedings for the rest of the school next summer. Please look out for more specific details and timings in this week’s Information Letter.
In a further staffing update, we will be really sad to say goodbye to Miss Natalie Bonnick at the end of this term. Natalie has been an energetic and committed member of the Pre-School team for the last three and a half years and, for the past two terms, has been doing a fantastic job in Reception covering Mrs Goosens’ maternity leave. Natalie will leave us to pursue an exciting role as a private nanny and we wish her all the very best for the future.
I have one final important reminder for parents of Year 6, 7 and 8 pupils - the recordings of both the Year 6 and Year 7 & 8 productions (Star Warts and Animal Farm) will be available to watch from this weekend, Friday 2nd July from 6.00pm. Due to strict licensing/copyright regulations, the link to Animal Farm will expire 72 hours later on Monday 5th July at 6.00pm. Both links will be available on The Source (Username: parents Password: lion).
I wish you a wonderful week and hope to see you at one of the events before the end of term.
