Drama
Year 4 have been busy rehearsing for their pantomime and the technical rehearsals went very well. All the children are very excited to perform their plays and looking forward to recording it on Wednesday.
Year 5 have been finishing off their fairy tale scripts and have begun staging their plays. In Year 6 the children have been looking carefully about how they develop a backstory for a character and how that affects the audience's perception and to give a more natural performance. They have been looking particularly at the backstory of villains and superheroes and how they came to be. The drama electives have created their own film posters and have produced some fantastic results. They have thought carefully about what genre their films fit into and the colours that are needed to match their genre.
Photography
During this past week in Photography, the children in both Rotation and Elective have been playing around with colour selective and layering. The layering process in photography can be a tricky one but the children took it in their stride and managed to produce some outstanding and quirky photographs. Congratulations to Ediz, Liam and Jesse on their excellent work. Hopefully next we will be out taking more photographs.
Music
It's been an incredibly busy week in the music department. Pre Prep performed their Nativity show last week with Pre-School, Year 1 and Year 2 choirs singing beautifully for the recorded performance. We can't wait for you to see it!
We have also been busy with Year 4 pantomime rehearsals and Carol Service rehearsals ready to be filmed this week.
Well done to all pupils who have given their all to the performances so far.
