Plans are well underway for the recording of our annual Harvest Festival assembly and this year there will be the opportunity to donate online to the Watford Foodbank instead of bringing in food packages to school. I am pleased to say that the Reverend Robert Fletcher will be involved as usual as we aim to capture the spirit of these whole school events in spite of the challenges.
We are making every effort to review and adapt the shape of the day as much as we can whilst continuing to adhere to Government guidelines. We will shortly be releasing details of sports opportunities for our sports scholars as well as looking to see what other inter-bubble clubs we might be able to reintroduce. We will be going ahead with trick or treating for our boarders and the Year 8 bonfire night event, albeit pupils and a small number of staff only. Mrs Eglinton is already planning our Christmas music events and, although it looks likely that these will be pupils and staff only, we are being as creative as possible to bring all year groups together, capture the spirit of the season and ensure everyone is involved. We will be having the Christmas events professionally recorded so that the whole community can still take part.
The Friends of Edge Grove also have some exciting plans up their sleeves for some fundraising events and the Charities committee is in the process of selecting the local, national and international charities that we hope to support over the coming school year.
