Well done to Maya and Sophie who have been chosen as the Year 3 and Year 4 Charity Committee representatives respectively. As year groups the children have been discussing which charities they would like to support and exploring ideas about how to raise money. I am also delighted to announce our first pen licence recipients: Zuriela, Joseph, Louis, Sofia, Khushi and Lacey! Just look at the concentration on their faces as they focus on their handwriting.
The Year 3 children have enjoyed working on their listening skills in mindfulness; playing games to enhance their skills. Whilst Year 4 have just begun a weekly Wednesday Mindfulness assembly in their forms incorporating some morning yoga. What a lovely start to the day. Year 4 are slowly being introduced to their pantomime stories. The excitement is palpable! The drama element has been extended to English this week where fables have been explored. Cross curricular work continues with the Stone Age in Year 3. All pupils are thoroughly enjoying the design element of their technology lessons whilst the practical foundation skills of woodwork are being laid in Forest School. Year 4 uncovered a famous local Roman road. Can your child remember what it is called? Do you know which other famous Roman roads still exist today?
