I have been determined, throughout all of this, to take a proportionate and considered response to the changing landscape rather than, like many of our neighbours, put a blanket stop on events in an arbitrary fashion. However, we must listen to advice and, at the end of the day, do all we can to mitigate risk ahead of the holidays. I want to take this opportunity to thank all parents for your continued support and understanding as we try to do what’s best in very difficult circumstances.
All that having been said, Christmas spirit is well and truly alive and the children are still having a ball. The performance of the Year 3 and 4 panto this morning was utterly delightful; I don’t think I’ve seen such a talented company of 8 and 9 year olds! I hope everyone is getting their jumpers ready in time for their Grand Christmas lunch and our holiday house competitions will still go ahead within year groups.
