This week we bid a fond farewell to Mrs Joanna Morrison, who has been Director of Marketing and Admissions at Edge Grove for the past 10 years. On behalf of the Governors and wider school community, I would like to thank Joanna for her commitment, dedication and passion during her years in post, which have undoubtedly been instrumental in Edge Grove’s continued success.
Mr David Dicks will also be retiring from his post as Head of Religious Studies this year and I am delighted that Mrs Rachel Nicholls will return from maternity leave in September to take responsibility for the Theology, Philosophy and Religious Studies curriculum in Years 5 to 8.
Miss Pippa Jancey (3J) will also be leaving Edge Grove at the end of the summer term to spend some time travelling abroad and we will also say farewell to Mrs Anne Choi, who is relocating with her family to another part of the UK. I am thrilled that Miss Alice Harding (Year 4 CT) will now assume a permanent role within the Year 4 team and we will be interviewing next week for the second vacancy.
I am also delighted to welcome Mr Michael Mitchum and Miss Chloe Gold to the Pre Prep staff team on a permanent basis from September. Both Mr Mitchum and Miss Gold have been teaching at Edge Grove on a temporary basis since September 2021 and I am pleased to have the opportunity to retain their skills and expertise. That does unfortunately mean that we are saying goodbye to two experienced and valued colleagues within Pre Prep.
Miss Rebecca Chaplin will leave at the end of the summer term after 18 years in post and Mrs Charlie Goosens and her family will be relocating to Spain this summer. I look forward to being able to say thank you and goodbye in a fitting way at our end of term events. I intend to publish a list of staff leavers and joiners at the end of this half term for reference.
Have a wonderful week.
