Edge Grove is currently under the interim Headship of Mr Richard Stanley until January 2023 when Mr Ed Balfour joins the school as the next permanent Head.
Ed is currently the Head of Beechwood Park so comes to us with a wealth of North London and Hertfordshire School experience. We look forward to welcoming Ed in the coming months and settling him into life here at Edge Grove.
We had the pleasure of welcoming Max Stallard (EG 1988-94) back to Edge Grove for our end of year Speech Day in the summer. After leaving Edge Grove, Max went on to Oundle and he now works at Berkhamsted School as Head of Greenes House & Master in Charge of Rowing. Max spoke at Speech Day about his time at Edge Grove and the wonderful memories made here.
The recent legacy received from the estate of Puddy Pratt (nee Brooksmith) was used to refurbish the North Dorm in to a boardroom and multi-use meeting room. This has been named, with permission from Amanda, her daughter, as the Brooksmith Boardroom. We are extremely grateful to the family for this legacy to the school and this additional meeting space is a much needed addition to the main house. We look forward to greeting many alumni here in the future.
We welcome our 2022 Year 8 Leavers to the Edge Grove Society.
Taken at their leaving dinner in July, this fine looking bunch are the latest additions to the alumni community. We hope they stay in touch with the school whilst on their next education journey and we will be inviting them back to return for reunion events in the future.
